Bob Melvin is the real estate sales leader in Boca Grande and Placida, as well as on the Cape Haze Peninsula for over a decade. Bob believes in making the island dream a reality for those looking to make the Gulf Coast area their home.
In 1983, Bob moved from Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida to the Boca Grande Club where he has sold numerous condos, luxury homes and land estates, along with various other properties. During the next 5 years, Bob solidified his reputation and stature as a top island real estate professional by working for Gulf to Bay Properties, helping to take the fledgling company to the top producing agency on Island. With that accomplishment under his belt, he continued to strive forward establishing Gasparilla Properties, which in the first year, was the top producing sales agency on the island. That trend has continued year after year as Gasparilla Properties now leads the entire area in real estate sales. Bob has had the opportunity to broker many multi-million dollar properties such as beach front, golf course and bay front residential homes, multi-family and commercial estates specializing in individual luxury for every client.
Not only has Bob been active in real estate on the island and surrounding areas, but has genuinely given his time to protect, beautify and ’give back’ to the community that has helped him become so successful. He has been an elected board Supervisor for the Gasparilla Island Bridge Authority, board member of the Boca Grande Child Care Center, Chairman of the Gasparilla Island Conservation and Improvement Association and Bike Path Committee. He has also been a member of the Fire Department, Gasparilla Inn, Boca Grande Club, Boca Bay, Boca Grande Pass Yacht Club, Lemon Bay Conservancy as well as the Placida Rotary Club. Additionally, Bob is the original founding member of the new Tom Fazio designed golf course, Coral Creek Club. Bob continues to passionately serve the community by helping others through the Boca Grande Health Clinic, the Island School, Boca Grande Child Care Center, Gasparilla Island Conservation and Improvement Association, Placida Rotary Club, Englewood Area Y.M.C.A. and the Lemon Bay Conservancy among others.
